Sign up as a member of S.O.S. Bahia!  All members receive our regular newsletters and bulletins via our mailing list. Member- and readership is split into Spanish speakers and English speakers. According to their preference, they are sent the Spanish “EcoNoticias” or English “EcoNews”.  There are additional members who do not have e-mail addresses and are registered under their names and street addresses.

Membership at S.O.S. Bahia is free. So please remember that, although S.O.S. Bahia is a legally registered “Asociación Civil” (“Civil Association”), all of our activists and members - including and especially our board members! - are volunteers who dedicate the maximum amount of their free time to S.O.S. Bahia.  

Please let us know if you learn something that could be of interest to us or could affect one of our campaigns.  Being informed is vital to stopping environmental damage or destruction.

There are lots of things you can do to help our cause -- send letters or emails to local, state and federal government officials (click on links under important addresses); send letters or emails to the cruise ship companies (click on links under important addresses) to let them know how you think; organize demonstrations, marches, presentations and educational events... the possibilities are endless.

S.O.S. Bahia does not accept funds from any government agency or institution, political party or political organization.  We do appreciate donations by individuals and other pro-environmental organizations, who believe in our mission and principles and support our causes. All donations are acknowledged and used strictly for environmental associated purposes, such as educational projects, beach clean-up activities, communications and legal consultations.  SOS BAHIA posts regular financial reports to its membership.
